Jerry Zhang, our CEO, embarked on his journey in China’s tech industry in 1995 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the Beijing Institute of Technology. He began his career in a technical role at East Changwei Company and later served as the editor-in-chief of the Chinese publication Internet Weekly. Recognizing the growing demand for software development both globally and within China, he founded Shinetech Software Inc. in Beijing.
2005 / Expanding Horizons
Between 2003 and 2005, Shinetech Software experienced significant growth as we entered the European and American software development markets. This strategic move not only marked the beginning of our journey into global markets but also connected us with many of our key partners, shaping the foundation of our international presence. After four years of working with partners in North and Latin America, we recognized the importance of being closer to our North American partners. This realization led to the establishment of our first overseas office in New York City on January 13, 2005—a milestone that solidified our commitment to providing exceptional, localized service and fostering long-term relationships.

In 2008, Shinetech became an official Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Software Development, enabling us to better serve our partners with advanced Microsoft solutions and reaffirming our dedication to their success. To better support our growing European partner base, we established our first European office in London, providing on-site development and personalized partner service. This expansion marked a significant step toward delivering localized solutions on a global scale. During this time, Shinetech’s achievements gained international recognition, including being named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific list and earning the prestigious title of Gartner Cool Vendor in 2012. 2013 / Building Cultural Connections
By 2013, Shinetech had accumulated a wealth of software development knowledge, positioning us as a trusted global partner. However, we recognized that to truly serve our partners, we needed to connect on a deeper cultural level. To achieve this, we sent engineers from various branches to work at our American offices for several weeks. This initiative was designed to help our teams better understand the culture, improve interpersonal communication, and build stronger relationships with our partners, ensuring that we could deliver even more tailored and effective solutions.
2016 / Expanding Global Reach
In the middle part of 2010, Shinetech accelerated its international expansion to better serve our growing partner base. Recognizing the importance of offering on-site services, we opened two new offices: one in Karlstad, Sweden, to serve our Nordic and European partners, and another in Sydney, Australia, to support our Oceania and APAC partners. Continuing our momentum, we expanded further in North America with new offices in Vancouver, Canada, and San Francisco, strategically located in two major tech hubs. These additions allowed us to maintain a highly skilled talent pool and deliver a unique combination of on-site and hybrid services, further strengthening our ability to support partners across the globe.

2019 was a landmark year for Shinetech, marking significant achievements in our journey. By this time, we had successfully delivered over 1,500 software projects, with 75% of our business being repeat partners. This year also saw us being recognized in two prestigious competitions alongside our long-term partners. Shinetech was selected as a finalist for the Best Global Commerce Expansion award at the 2019 Adobe Imagine Excellence Awards, in collaboration with HP Inc. Additionally, we were named a finalist for the Best Public Sector Digital Project at the Computing Digital Technology Leaders Awards. In recognition of our commitment to security and quality, 2019 also saw Shinetech officially awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management certification.
